Analisis Kepentingan Rosneft Berinvestasi Di Petróleos De Venezuela, S.A. (Pdvsa) 2011-2019

This study analyzes the interests of Rosneft invest in PDVSA (Petróleos
De Venezuela, S.A.) for almost a decade. Rosneft's investment was made in the
formation of a joint venture with PDVSA. However, the crisis and problems in
Venezuela are not investor-friendly countries, so that many investors canceled
cooperation with Venezuelan companies before Rosneft. Even in the years before
the employment agreement expired, Rosneft continued to assist PDVSA in
dealing with sanctions from Western countries.
This research uses a neoliberal perspective and and level of analysis used
is the nation state, assuming that the state can be an actor in the economy,
involving state-owned enterprises in the international economy. The Heckscher-
Olin theory explains the differences in the comparative advantages of Rosneft and
PDVSA. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with descriptive
analysis. Data collection techniques were carried out through secondary sources
originating from the internet, previous studies, journals and other library sources.
This research shows that Russia-Venezuela relations, Russia's desire to
become a major country in the global energy market and the difference in the ratio
of Rosneft-PDVSA comparative advantage, require Rosneft to establish
cooperation with PDVSA.
