Profil Skala Nyeri Anak Pasca Pembedahan Mayor Yang Dirawat Di Picu Rsud Arifin Achmad Periode 2018-2020
Pain is the most common problems after surgery. Post-operative pain scale assessment is necessary, especially in children. The inability of children to verbally convey pain makes it difficult to assess the pain scale. Faces, Legs, Activity, Cry, and Consolability (FLACC) scale is a behavioral observational pain scale frequently used in children admitted after major surgery. This study aims to determine the pain scale profile of children after major surgery in the PICU of Arifin Achmad Hospital from 2018-2020. The formula of this research is retrospective descriptive using the patient medical record with total sampling. Out of 116 children, ≤12 years old is the largest group of ages. The 73 children were a boy and 43 children were a girl. The most common type of surgery is clean-contaminated surgery. Most of the surgical sites were in the abdomen with a duration less than equal to 2 hours. The pain scale in children treated in the PICU of Arifin Achmad Hospital was substantially on a moderate pain scale.
