Penggunaan Model Kooperatif Tipe Talking Stick Dengan Media Crossword Puzzle Untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Sejarah Di SMA N 1 Bangko Pusako
In the learning process students are required to play an active role in
learning activities, it is influenced by student learning motivation. In an effort to
increase students' learning motivation, it is influenced by several things, including
the development of learning materials starting from the use of learning models
and learning media as well as through a good start of learning. Therefore, it is
necessary for a teacher to be creative in innovating learning activities both from
models and learning media. Based on this background, the title was taken, namely
"Using a Talking Stick Type Cooperative Model with Crossword Puzzle Media to
Increase Students' Learning Motivation in History Subjects at SMA N 1 Bangko
Pusako". This study aims to increase students' learning motivation by using the
classroom action research method (CAR) with the research subject being class XI
IPS SMA N 1 Bangko Pusako. Based on the results of the study, it showed that
student learning activities in the first cycle were 54.47%, then increased in the
second cycle to 80.06% and had reached the specified success indicator, which
was 60%. Then the students' learning motivation in the first cycle obtained an
average percentage of 50.36% and increased in the second cycle to 80.20% and
has reached the specified success indicator of 75%. Based on the results of the
study, it was shown that the use of the talking stick type cooperative model with
the crossword puzzle media could increase students' learning motivation.
