This study aims to determine the concept of misconceptions and the percentage of misconceptions experienced by students of class XI MIPA SMAN 10 Pekanbaru on the material concepts of ionic balance and pH of salt solutions which have been carried out in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 school year and data collection was conducted in July-August 2022. The population in this study were all class XII MIPA students at SMAN 10 Pekanbaru and the sample in the study was 82 class XII MIPA students who had studied ion balance material and the pH of salt solutions. The instrument used in the study was a four-level multiple-choice diagnostic test sheet that was valid and feasible to use. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The results showed that class XII MIPA students at SMAN 10 Pekanbaru experienced misconceptions about ion balance and the pH of salt solutions which were in the medium category with an average percentage of 44.19%. Based on the results of the analysis of students' answers, misconceptions occur in the concept of hydrolyzed salt by 43.45% in the medium category, and the concept of calculating the pH of a salt solution by 44.92% in the medium category.
