ABSTRACT
Smartphones are a medium that farmers can use to find agricultural information for the needs of lowland rice farmers. The purpose of this study was to determine the access and function of using smartphones and to find out the acceptance model of smartphone technology on lowland rice farmers in Seberang Taluk Village, Kuantan Tengah District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. The method used is random sampling with a total sample of 110 respondents. The data analysis used was descriptive qualitative, Likert scale, and structural equation modeling (SEM). The results showed that smartphones as a source of information, education and entertainment were included in the sufficient category. This means that smartphones are used by farmers with duration access for three times a week and 4-5 hours per day. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that access and function (AF) are significantly affected by actual use (A), behavioral intention (BI), attitude towards (AT) and perceived ease of use (PEU). Behavioral intention (BI) is significantly influenced by perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEU).
