ABSTRACT
Social Capital of the Riau University Minang Student Association (IMAMI UNRI). This research was conducted at the University of Riau, Bina Widya Campus, Jl. HR Soebrantas, Pekanbaru, Riau. The purpose of this study was to determine the social capital that exists in the Minang University Student Association of Riau (IMAMI UNRI) and to determine the type of social capital that exists in the Minang University Student Association of Riau (IMAMI UNRI). In this study, using the theory of social capital proposed by Putnam, social capital is part of social organizations such as trust, norms, and networks that can improve community efficiency by facilitating coordinated action. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method approach. The research subjects in this study were eight informants, three key informants, and two triangulations. From the results of the analysis in this study, it can be concluded that the existing network at IMAMI UNRI and working with external parties was formed because of repeated interactions. The trust that exists between fellow Division Heads and outside parties in carrying out their duties and cooperation begins with a network or relationship. The norms at IMAMI UNRI are AD/ART and Islamic religious values. These three elements must be in IMAMI UNRI.
