Pengembangan Media Tempat Sampah Edukatif Dalam Menumbuhkan Sikap Peduli Lingkungan Anak Usia 4-5 Tahun
Lack of simulation for early childhood about environmental care attitudes which results
in a lack of concern for the environment so that children get used to littering, so this study aims
to develop educative trash can media in fostering a caring attitude for the environment in
children aged 4-5 years. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research
which refers to Brog and Gall's research stages which are simplified into 7 research stages. The
stages that the researcher carried out were potential problems, collecting data or information,
product design, design validation, design revisions, limited trials, and product revisions. The
subjects in this study were early childhood aged 4-5 years at Hangtuah Kindergarten. This study
uses data collection techniques through observation and interviews. Data analysis is in the form
of quantitative descriptive. The results of research on educative trash can media to foster a caring
attitude for early childhood and are suitable for use after going through the validation stages by
material expert validators, media experts, educators and also through the limited trial stages.
Based on the results of the material validation, a feasibility percentage of 89% was obtained in
the "appropriate" category and media expert validation obtained an eligibility percentage of 88%
in the "appropriate" category. The results of the material validation get a percentage of 89% and
the percentage of limited trials get a percentage of 94.1% in the "very feasible" category.
Research related to the Development of Educative Trash Can media can be studied further for
other aspects of development.
