Produksi Tanaman Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq.) Yang Tajuknya “Dirempes” Satu Sisi Dan Pemberian Pupuk Kalium
ABSTRACT
The aim of the research was to determine the effect of the interaction between damping the canopy and applying potassium fertilizer on the production of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) plants at close spacing. This research was conducted in Petapahan Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency from December 2021 to June 2022 in the form of a randomized block design trial with two treatment factors. The canopy cutting permeability factor consists of, 0 cm, 100 cm and 200 cm. The potassium fertilizer factor consists of doses of 0 kg, 3 kg, 4 kg and 5 kg per plant. Each treatment was repeated 3 times and each unit consisted of two sample trees so that 72 sample trees were obtained. Parameters observed were number of female flowers, number of male flowers, sex ratio, number of bunches, bunch weight, fresh fruit weight, fresh fruit volume and mesocarp thickness. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and DMRT follow-up test at the 5% level using the SAS application. The results of the research showed that the interaction of canopy cutting and potassium fertilizer was not able to increase the production of oil palm at a tight spacing. Shrinkage of 100 cm crown was able to increase bunch weight, fresh fruit weight, fresh fruit volume and mesocarp thickness. The application of 5 kg potassium fertilizer for plants increased the number of bunches, bunch weight, fresh fruit weight, fresh fruit volume and mesocarp thickness.
