Hubungan Perkembangan Biji Dan Komponen Hasil Untuk Penentuan Kriteria Seleksi Pada Tanaman Kedelai (Glycine Max (L.) Merril)
ABSTRACT
Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merril) is plays an important role in Indonesia economy because the commodity is used as one of main staple food for the community. The gap between national demand and production is getting wider lately due to limited best cultivars and poor cultivation techniques. So that, this study was intended to determine genetic parameters and relationships among several seed development characters and yield components of soybean grown at various planting densities. The field experiment was arranged in a randomized block design with 2 factors. Five soybean genotypes were planted in three levels of planting density ie; 142,000 plants per ha1, 125,000 plants per ha1 and 100,000 plants per ha1. The soybean genotypes were Anjasmoro, Argomulyo, Deja 1, Devon 1 and Dega 1. Traits observed were flowering date, harvesting date, seed dry weight at 15 DAP, seed dry weight at 22 DAP, seed dry weight at harvest, number of filled pods per plant and seed yield per m² The results showed that the characters with wide genetic diversity included flowering date, harvesting date, seed dry weight at 15 DAP, seed dry weight at 22 DAP, seed dry weight at harvest, number of filled pods per plant and seed yield per m². All characters observed had high heritability values except for seed weight per plant and seed yield per m² which had moderate heritability values. The genetic correlation coefficient shows that the characters of flowering date, seed weight per plant and weight of 100 seeds have a high genetic correlation coefficient on seed yield per m2. The results of the indirect selection response showed that the selection made on the character of flowering date, seed weight per plant and 100 seed weight was able to increase seed yield per m².
