ABSTRACT
Nepenthes is a plant that has an attractive color and size as well as a unique shape so that it can be used as an ornamental plant. One of the Nepenthes habitats is the Imbo Putui Customary Forbidden Forest. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of Nepenthes and their habitat characteristics in the Imbo Putui Customary Prohibition Forest so as to develop information on the diversity of species and habitats of the pitcher plant so that they can make fishing efforts to absorb the plant. This research method is exploration in forest areas by laying line transects measuring 100 meters long and 20 meters wide in 6 lanes in wet and dry habitats. Vegetation data for semar bag habitat was collected using the quadratic method measuring 20x20 m in 5 plots in each lane. The data obtained in the field are the type of pitcher plant, morphological characteristics and habitat characteristics such as air temperature, air humidity, soil pH, light intensity and vegetation analysis. This research was conducted in May 2022 in the Imbo Putui Customary Prohibition Forest, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. After identification, 2 species of Nepenthes were found, namely N. ampullaria and N. gracilis with a total of 31 individuals. For Nepenthes abiotic factors found at temperature 28-30 ℃, humidity 75-80%, soil pH 6.5, light intensity 2247-3330 lux. Nepenthes that are found along the route are mostly terrestrial and epiphytic. Suggestions from this study are that there is a need for research in other locations in the province of Riau.
