Potensi Tumbuhan Berguna Berdasarkan Pengetahuan Masyarakat Lokal Di Hutan Adat Imbo Putui Desa Petapahan Kecamatan Tapung Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau
ABSTRACT
Customary forest is a forest area that is within customary territory which is inseparable from the life cycle of the indigenous community of its inhabitants. As a forest that is controlled and managed by local indigenous peoples, activities carried out in the forest need to be watched out for in order to maintain the balance of the existing ecosystem. Indigenous peoples who live side by side with forests certainly make use of existing natural resources such as useful plants, these plants will be used according to local regulations or their traditional wisdom. This study aims to: First determine the potential of useful plants based on local community knowledge in the Imbo Putui Customary Forest, Petapahan Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. Second, knowing the use of useful plants based on local community knowledge in the Imbo Putui Customary Forest, Petapahan Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. This research was carried out in the Imbo Putui Customary Forest in May 2022. The materials used in this research were maps used as research locations, a plant guidebook was used as a guide to determine the types of plants encountered. The tools used in this study were digital cameras functioning as documentation in research, interview guides useful as guidelines for obtaining information from local communities, tally sheets were used to record measurement results in the field, compasses were used as a tool to determine cardinal directions, stationery was used as tools for writing. Data collection uses semi-structured interview techniques and observation. Sampling using snowball sampling method. Data analysis was carried out in a qualitative and quantitative descriptive manner based on data on respondents' knowledge of useful plants in the Imbo Putui Customary Forest. The results showed that the Potential Useful Plants in the Imbo Putui Customary Forest contained 23 species consisting of 21 families. Communities around the Imbo Putui Customary Forest utilize 5 species from 5 families, useful plants that are most widely used by local people such as medicinal plants, food-producing plants and plants used for handicrafts. These plants such as rattan, club, earth stake, forest cempedak, forest kedondong.
