Kemampuan Menulis Kuatrain Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 6 Pekanbaru Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023

This study describes and analyzes the ability of class XI students at SMA
Negeri 6 Pekanbaru in writing quatrains. This research is a quantitative research because
the data presented in this study are in the form of numbers. Data analysis techniques in
this study used descriptive statistical techniques. The research instrument used in this
study was a quatrain type poetry writing test which based on the form of writing in one
stanza consists of only four lines. In the instrument test used, the researcher provided
several themes and students were invited to write quatrains based on one of the selected
themes. Students are asked to build strength by paying attention to the existing aspects of
the assessment, namely the suitability of the theme, diction, rhyme, style of language and
mandate. Is the formulation of the problem in this study, namely what is the level of
writing ability of class XI students of SMA Negeri 6 Pekanbaru in the 2022/2023
academic year? Based on the results of the study, the ability to write quatrains for class
XI students at SMA Negeri 6 Pekanbaru in the 2022/2023 academic year is classified as
moderate. This is known after testing using the t-test of one sample with an average of
75,43.
