ABSTRACT
Pencak silat martial arts is an original Indonesian sport that has been recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2019. There are so many types of pencak silat colleges that have developed rapidly in Pekanbaru, this certainly indicates that the interest in pencak silat martial arts is quite high. However, this is contrary because in Pekanbaru itself there is no place that can accommodate training and matches. Seeing this trend, there needs to be various considerations to be able to create a forum that can regenerate martial arts athletes. The design of the Pencak Silat Martial Arts Depot in Pekanbaru will be one solution so that pencak silat can continue to be preserved. With the main facilities, namely education and training centers supported by various facilities that can support all martial arts activities. With the theme of the Architectural Expressionism approach, the shape of the building will be inspired by the form of expression of movements in the martial arts pencak silat itself.
