Analisis Sampah Organik Dan Anorganik Di Kawasan Wisata Pantai Viovio, Pantai Elyora Dan Pantai Melayu Kota Batam Kepulauan Riau
ABSTRACT
Batam City is the largest city in the province of Riau Archipelago and is a strategically located tourist attraction. There are several beaches in Batam that are used as tourist attractions, such as Viovio Beach, Elyora Beach, and Melayu Beach. One of the problems in tourist areas is the presence of rubbish that disturbs the beauty of tourist sites. Waste is a problem for people all over the world, both organic and inorganic waste from land and sea. So the authors conducted a study to find out the types of litter on the beach. This survey was conducted in September 2022 in Batam City, Riau Archipelago Province, with the aim of knowing the types of waste, sources of waste and waste production, and the relationship between the number of visiting tourists and the waste production in the tourist area of Viovio- beach, Elyora beach and Malay beach. The method used in this study is the survey method. Sampling was done by targeted sampling.
So that the results of the type of waste found are organic waste such as: fruit, leaves, wood, bamboo and sea grass. Inorganic waste: plastic, glass, rubber, metal and other waste. The highest amount of waste was found at Viovio Beach, namely 1340 pieces. At Elyora Beach, the amount of waste production found was 538 pieces. Pantai Melayu, the amount of waste production found was 500 pieces. Sources of trash come from beachgoers and outside shipments carried by currents to Viovio Beach, Elyora Beach, and Melayu Beach. The total production of marine debris during the study was 29,165 kg. At each research site, plastic waste is the most common type of waste. Paired weekend t-test results with a mean value of 551 and weekday of 230. Weekend standard deviation with a value of 329.27344 and weekday of 155.88457. The weekend standard error mean is 190.10611 and the weekday is 90. For the weekend and weekday correlation value, it is 99.9% with a significant value of 0.021. While the calculated t-value is 3.204. The significant value of the paired t-test is 0.085
