The background of this research is shown by the phenomena that arise, namely the low social awareness of students at SMAN Bernas Pangkalan Kerinci. Based on the literature research conducted, youth red cross extracurricular education is one of the efforts to improve the social welfare of students at SMAN Bernas Pangkalan Kerinci. Therefore, researchers were encouraged to conduct a study entitled the influence of youth red cross extracurriculars on the social caring character of students at SMAN Bernas Kerinci base. In this study, the form of the problem is whether youth red cross extracurriculars affect students' social awareness at SMAN Bernas Pangkalan Kerinci. The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative, which means data processing in the form of numbers or numeric and then described and ended. The population of this study was taken from all students who took part in PMR, namely at least 34 students. By using the total sampling technique, the total population is 34 samples. Based on the research results it can be concluded that; There is a positive extracurricular effect of the youth red cross on the caring character of social students at SMAN Bernas Pangkalan Kerinci.
