Analisis Kemampuan Mengenal Konsep Geometri Pada Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di TK Al-Husna Pekanbaru
This study aims to determine the ability to recognize geometric concepts in children aged 5-6
years at Kindergarten Al-Husna Pekanbaru. In this study using a descriptive method of
quantitative approach. The population of this study were children aged 5-6 years at
Kindergarten Al Husna Pekanbaru, totaling 18 children, while the sampling technique used
was saturated sampling so that the research sample was 18 children. Data collection
techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques
using quantitative descriptive with percentages. The results of the research are the ability to
recognize the concept of geometry in children aged 5-6 years at Kindergarten Al Husna
Pekanbaru is on the "MB" (Starting to Develop) criterion. This is evidenced by the
descriptive statistical technique formula percentage y from the analysis of the ability to
recognize geometric concepts in children aged 5-6 years, obtained observational data or a
score of 49% in the range of 41% -55% which can mean that children's ability to recognize
geometric concepts has begun to be able to although there are still many who are wrong in
matching, mentioning, comparing the shape of the geometric concept.
