Pengembangan Media Catch The Ball Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Mengenal Konsep Bilangan Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di TK It Al-Muhsinin Pekanbaru

Based on preliminary observations at IT AL-Muhsinin Kindergarten Pekanbaru, it was found that the ability to recognize the concept of numbers in children has not yet developed optimally, such as: some children have not been able to say the numbers 1-10 in sequence, some children have not been able to relate the concept of numbers with the symbol numbers 1-10, some children are not yet able to count objects up to 10 objects. This study aims to develop catch the ball media to improve the ability to recognize the concept of numbers in children aged 5-6 years. This research is a type of R&D research with research subjects being students. The types and sources of research data are primary data and quantitative descriptive questionnaires. The results of this study were validated by validators, namely material experts and media experts. The results of catch the ball media development research can be categorized as "proper" with an overall percentage of material experts 80%, media experts 79%, professional educators 86%, and limited trial results 78%. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that catch the ball media is effective and feasible to help improve the ability to recognize the concept of numbers for children aged 5-6 years.
