COLLABORATION OF VILLAGE GOVERNMENT AND INDIGENOUS FIGURES IN CONSERVING THE RIMBO BAN OF SEBERBANG VILLAGE OF AIR BLACK, SENTAJO RAYA SUB-DISTRICT, 2018-2019 By: Sukri Afriadi Email: [email protected] Supervisor: Adlin,S.Sos,M.Sc ABSTRACT As for the Identification of Problems in Collaborative Research with village government and traditional leaders in preserving Rimbo Larangan Seberang Village of Teratak Air Hitam, Sentajo Raya Sub-District, 2018-2019, namely the fading of meetings held by traditional institutions in carrying out activities in efforts to preserve the forbidden jungle, the status of forbidden jungle which are still recorded as APL (Other Use Areas) making it difficult to manage or transfer functions to the utilization of the area, the lack of the role of the Regional Government in efforts to preserve the forbidden jungle. This study uses a qualitative research method that describes the data obtained through interviews and documentation. While the data source used is primary data obtained directly from the research location in the form of information submitted by informants, and supported by secondary data, namely documents related to research. The results of the collaboration of the village government and traditional leaders in the preservation of Rimbo Larangan Seberang Village, Teratak Air Hitam, Sentajo Raya District 2018-2019, is that in terms of formal agreements and missions there is no formal agreement, however, the agreement agreed upon by all parties is that Rimbo Larangan Seberang Village Teratak Air Hitam is a customary forest managed by traditional institutions and the people of Seberang Village of Teratak Air Hitam. In addition, in terms of leadership that the Customary Institution holds authority and leadership in the preservation of Rimbo Larangan, then in terms of legitimacy there is no Written Regulation regarding the management of the Rimbo Larangan area, while law enforcement and management regulations still use the applicable Customary Law. In terms of joint action, the Village Administration, Customary Institutions and Forest Management Units (KPH) have conducted surveillance of illegal mining in the Rimbo Larangan area. Meanwhile, the planning for the preservation and development of Rimbo Larangan has been carried out in the form of joint discussions, however, this has not been realized due to budgetary issues and the status of the area which is a Protected Area/Local Wisdom or Other Use Area (APL), making it difficult to manage. and the transfer of area utilization functions.
