Engembangan E-Modul Ekonomi Berbasis Generative Learning Untuk Memfasilitasi Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Peserta Didik
The ability to understand concepts in learning is a basic ability that must be possessed by students. Understanding the concept is the ability of students to understand the concept of subject matter, not just memorizing it, but explaining it using their own language. Economics learning requires a good understanding of concepts, because economics learning is carried out in cycles. In the current era of digitalization, students will face very competitive challenges, especially in terms of knowledge and technology, so teachers must be able to provide updates to improve the quality of technology-based learning.
This study aims to develop and produce an economic e-module based on generative learning to improve students' conceptual understanding at SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. Before carrying out the implementation of the e-module, it was first tested on class XII IPS 4 at SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru and class 12 at SMK Global Cendekia. Apart from that, the e-module was also implemented in two other schools, namely Pekanbaru 6 Public High School and Pekanbaru 8 Public High School. The Research and Development (R&D) research approach is the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Data collection uses observation, interviews, validation, concept understanding tests, questionnaires and documentation. Data were analyzed using needs analysis techniques with a qualitative approach, while validation.
The research and development stage begins with the analysis stage. The results of the analysis phase show that so far the learning resources that are often used by teachers arepower pointand the Quiz Application, there is no e-module that is able to train students' understanding of concepts. The needs analysis data becomes a reference for the next stage, namely the design stage. At this stage the e-module was designed using the help of the Canva Application, Flipbook, Google Form and Word Wall. The resulting economic e-module has several trigger features on the e-module. On the cover of the e-module, an absence feature is provided which is directly linked to the Google form, then on the table of contents students only click on the page the student wants. The learning activity page on the e-module also provides various learning resources such as audio, video, interactive quizzes, YouTube, interesting pictures and uses generative learning syntax which provides a hands-on learning experience.
The resulting e-module is validated by 3e-module validator and 1 material validator. The validator questionnaire results were analyzed using the Aiken's V formula. The e-module expert validator showed a score of 0.97 in the high category. The material expert validator shows a score of 0.98 which means the e-
module is valid and feasible to try out. After the trial phase was carried out, the deficiencies found in the e-module at the limited trial stage were then corrected for use at the implementation stage. The test results show that the N-Gain results of students' understanding of concepts are in the high category. The same results were also shown at the implementation stage, the N-Gain results of Pekanbaru 2 Public High School, Pekanbaru 6 Public High School and Pekanbaru 8 Public High School showed N-Gain values of 0.84, 0.86 and 0.85. These values mean students' understanding of the concept. increases and is in the high category. The results of the Paired Sample t-Test pretest and posttest of the three schools showed a significance of 0.000. These results prove that generative learning-based economic e-modules are effective in facilitating students' conceptual understanding abilities.
Practicality and usefulness tests were carried out through an analysis of student and teacher response questionnaires to the use of e-modules. The results obtained based on the e-module trial questionnaire at SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru class XII IPS 4 and Global Scholar Vocational School, all students stated that the e-module was useful and practical to use in learning. All students or 100% of the trial phase stated that the practicality of the e-module was in the high category. Then, at the implementation stage, the percentage of SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru was 94.29%, SMA Negeri 6 Pekanbaru was 91.42% and SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru was 100%. The three schools state that the economics e-module is practical and useful in economics learning. The written responses in the student response questionnaire stated that they wanted economics learning to always use economics e-modules and they found economic concepts easier and made it easier for them to work on economic problems.
Furthermore, the results of the teacher's response at the trial stage were 100% percentage with a high usefulness category. At the
