Pengembangan Media Basket Ball Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Mengenal Konsep Bilangan Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun
Based on initial observations at TK IT AL-Muhsinin Pekanbaru, it was
found that the ability to recognize the concept of numbers is an important aspect
of achieving early childhood cognitive development. The development of
basketball media is designed and produced to improve the ability to recognize the
concept of numbers for children aged 5-6 years, which is currently not optimal.
The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of basketball media
designed and produced in an effort to improve the ability to recognize the concept
of numbers for children aged 5-6 years. This research is a type of research and
development (R&D) research using the Borg & Gall model. Data collection
techniques through observation and interviews. Data analysis is in the form of
quantitative descriptive. The results of research and development (R&D) on
basketball media from the assessment of expert validators and media users that the
basketball media designed and produced from the material aspects of the results of
expert validation 1 and 2 obtained a percentage of 88%, this is included in the
category " Very worth it”. Likewise, the results of the media aspect validation
from 1 and 2 experts obtained a percentage of 92%, included in the "Very
feasible" category. Then, the validation results from users (PAUD teachers)
regarding teaching materials in the media obtained an assessment result with a
percentage of 87.6%, included in the "Very feasible" category; Likewise the
validation results regarding aspects of media design obtained results with a
percentage of 89.8% included in the "Very feasible" category. So, the results of
this study can be concluded that the basketball media designed and produced
through R&D is "very feasible" to be used to improve the ability to recognize the
concept of numbers for children aged 5-6 years in PAUD.
