Pengaruh Pemberian Kompos Batang Pisang Terhadap Pertumbuhan Semai Pulai (Alstonia Scholaris)

ABSTRACT
Alstonia scholaris is an indigenous plant and is able to grow quickly (fastgrowing species). This plant can be used as an alternative crop for efforts to revegetate degraded lands. In planting, the application of fertilizer is useful to help plant fertility and help to increase nutrient levels and to help spur the growth of seedlings, to get organic fertilizer can be done by processing waste derived from plants. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving banana stem compost in increasing growth in Alstonia scholaris, as well as knowing the best dose of banana stem compost in increasing growth in Alstonia scholaris. This study used 4 treatments and 5 repeats so that 20 experimental units were obtained. The application of the composition of banana stem planting media to the growth of seedlings in this study can be seen as follows: K1 = Without banana stem compost (control), K2 = 10% banana stem compost + 90% soil, K3 = 20% banana stem compost + 80% soil and K4 = 30% banana stem compost + 70% soil. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS version 22.0. The composition of the growing medium was able to increase the growth of Alstonia scholaris. The composition of banana stem compost 20% + soil 80% showed the best treatment to increase the growth of seedlings with a yield of 100% live percent, height gain of 19.18 cm, diameter increase of 2.08 mm, dry weight of plants 11.40 grams and root header ratio of 5.71.
