Penerapan Metode Concept Sentence Dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Pembelajaran IPS Kelas VIII 1 Di SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru
The research was conducted because social studies learning outcomes for class VIII 1
students of SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru were still low due to the lack of variety of
teachers in the use of learning methods. The research objective is to increase student
learning outcomes according to the Maximum Completeness Criteria (KKM). The
research was carried out using the PTK method (Classroom Action Research) which
was carried out in 2 cycles with data collection techniques using observation,
documentation and testing techniques. The results of this study indicate that the
average result of teacher activity using the Concept Sentence method in cycle 1 is
69.64%, which is classified as sufficient criteria, then increases to 82.14% in cycle 2
with good criteria. The average student learning activity in cycle 1 was 537.5 with
good criteria, then it increased in cycle 2 with an average score of 581.5 with good
criteria. The classical learning outcomes of students in cycle 1 were 63.3% with
sufficient criteria, then increased in cycle 2 by 90% with good criteria and achieved
success in classical learning mastery, namely ≥ 85%. Based on the results of this
study it can be concluded that the Concept Sentence learning method can improve
student learning outcomes in social studies learning in Class VIII 1 SMP Negeri 18
Pekanbaru
