Analisis Kemampuan Literasi Digital Berbasis Gender Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar
This study aims to describe the digital literacy abilities of male and female
students and to describe differences in digital literacy abilities of fifth-grade
elementary school students based on gender. The type of research used in this
research is quantitative research, using survey methods. The research was
conducted at SDN 37 Pekanbaru in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 school year
with a sample of 81 students, 43 male students and 38 female students.
Based on the research that has been done, the results of the study show
that there is no significant difference in digital literacy skills between male and
female students. Female students have an average digital literacy ability of
75.46%, slightly higher than male students who have an average of 74.75%.
Based on the independent sample T-test, a sig (2-tailed) value = 0.790, a
significant value > 0.05, then Ha is rejected and Ho is accepted, so it can be
concluded that there is no significant difference between the digital literacy skills
of male and female students. These results are in line with research conducted by
Silvianus Gelalang Boli (2019), which shows that there is no difference in the
digital literacy abilities of male and female students. This seems to contrast with
the general view that male students have better digital literacy than female
students. The rapid development of technology and communication has made the
boundaries for learning between boys and girls disappear, which has made female
students able to balance and even exceed the digital literacy abilities of male
students.
