Perancangan Dan Analisis Struktur Mekanik Mesin Spinner Pemisah Cairan Lateks High Speed Spinning Kapasitas 1l/Jam
ABSTRACT
In the manufacture of latex finished goods, the water content that is too high in the latex greatly disrupts the vulcanization process. Therefore, some of the water first needs to be removed to obtain concentrated latex with a dry rubber content (KKK) of 55% -60%. Meanwhile, in the centrifugation method, the equipment investment costs are very expensive. Besides the high price, the capacity of the machines that are sold in the market also has a limited capacity of 400 ml and 5000 rpm rotation. Machines with this capacity cannot be used optimally to dry latex in large quantities, therefore a machine with a higher capacity and higher rotation is needed. Therefore, in this final project, a spinner engine with a capacity of 1L/Hours will be made with a rotational speed of 10,000 rpm. This study compares the results of manual calculation analysis and finite element method analysis. Through this research, the power planning results were obtained, namely 10 Hp and 25000 rpm, the shaft diameter design results were 15 mm, the bearing design results were using SKF 51102 type bearings, the design results of the pegs with the dimensions of the pegs were 4.76mm×4, 67 mm, and the results of the design of the belt and pulley use the A60 type belt with a belt circumference of 1546.86 mm. Through this research the authors were able to find out the largest maximum stress value in the frame, namely in frame 2 with a value of 44.9 MPa at the end of the rod and the largest deflection occurred in frame 2 with a value of 0.041mm at a distance of 545.5 mm from the end of the rod and the smallest safety factor occurs in frame 2 with a value of 26.23.
