Bakteri Endofit Dari Batang Tumbuhan Paku Laut (Acrostichum Aureum L.): Isolasi, Antioksidan Dan Uji Inhibitor Α-Amilase
ABSTRACT
Endophytic bacteria are microorganisms that symbiosis with plants without causing negative effects on plants. Generally, the compounds produced by host plants are in line with those produced by endophytic bacteria. Potential secondary metabolites of endophytic bacteria are antioxidant and α-amylase inhibitor. This research aims to isolate and test the ability secondary metabolites of endophytic bacteria from the stem of the sea fern (Acrostichum aureum L.) to produce antioxidants and α-amylase inhibitors. The results of this research obtained 20 isolates of endophytic bacteria isolated using nutrient agar medium. Three selected isolates endophytic bacterial were screened using MRSA and MRSA with addition of CaCO3 medium, there are isolates BRS 2.3, BRS 5.2 and BRF 5.1. Three isolates were tested for antioxidant using dry extract with 1:1 ethyl acetate solvent. Percent inhibition respectively 51.619%, 14.794% and 30.495%. Three endophytic bacteria isolats did not have antioxidant activity because the IC50 value was >1000 ppm. The α-amylase inhibitors activity of isolate BRF 5.1 was 8.05% on 1% starch and 23.76% on 2% starch. BRF 5.1 isolate can be developed as a pharmaceutical ingredient for antidiabetic.
Key findings: Acrostichum aureum L., antioxidant, endophytic bacteria, inhibitor α-amylase
