Hypospadias is one of the most common congenital abnormalities of the urinary tract found in boys. Incidence rates differ from country to country. The prevalence is found to be one case in every 250-300 male births. Boys who have siblings and parents with hypospadias are affected 13 times more often than other boys. The main goal of early surgery is to improve the psychology and shape of the penis, reduce complications and prevent problems with urinating. The most common complication after hypospadias surgery is urethrocutaneous fistula. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of urethrocutaneous fistula as a complication of postoperative hypospadias and identify risk factors in the pediatric surgery division of Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau province for the period 2016 – 2020. This type of research was a retrospective descriptive and total sampling method. The results showed that the age group 3-6 years and 12-18 tahun respectively (38.5%) and the majority of the posterior type (69.2%). There were 53.8% of patients who underwent one stage repair surgery experienced complications of urethrocutaneous fistula and 46.2% experienced postoperative hypospadias infections.
