Sistem Penjadwalan Perkuliahan Menggunakan Algoritma Genetika Pada Jurusan Teknik Elektro Universitas Riau
The Department of Electrical Engineering is one of the majors which in the process of making class schedules still uses the manual method, namely using Microsoft Excel and does not yet have a system that can optimize the process of making the schedule. The number of parameters in making schdules, the limited number of lecturers and classrooms, the existence of schedule criteria, and the uneven distribution of lecturer schdules are problems in this study so that the scheduling process using the manual method is ineffective. To overcome these scheduling problems, the authors conducted research on the design of a Lecture Scheduling System Using Genetic Algorithms at the Department of Electrical Engineering University of Riau. This study applies the genetic algorithm method in making course schedules. Based on the functionality testing that has been carried out, it os known that the value X = 1 means that the features and functions contained in this lecture scheduling system have succeeded 100% and the genetic algorithm has succeeded in solving this problem by making schedules that are in accordance with the scheduling criteria, time intervals are evenly distributed for each lecturer, and the time used in making schedules is faster than manual schedule making, but there were still clashes in the room.
