Pemanfaatan Flora dan Fauna di Hutan Mangrove Desa Anak Setatah Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti

Mangrove forests in Anak Setatah Village, Kepulauan Meranti Regency are important because fishermen and surrounding communities utilize many resources in them. This study aims to determine the types of utilization of flora and fauna in the mangrove forest of Anak Setatah Village. The research was conducted in April 2023. Data were collected by observation, in-depth interviews and literature study. Informants were selected using snowball sampling. Data analyzed descriptively qualitative. The results showed that the people who are members of Pokmas Tegas utilize mangrove flora and fauna as food and beverage ingredients for household consumption but if they get abundant results they will be sold. The types of flora that are utilized are perepat trees, jeruju, api-api, nipah, while the fauna are snails, clams, shrimp, lokan and several types of fish. The types of products that have been successfully made from the utilization of flora are syrup, dodol, chips, jeruju tea, pudding, sponge cake and mixed drinks.
