Produksi Serasah Avicennia alba di Kawasan Rehabilitasi Mangrove Desa Kedabu Rapat Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti Provinsi Riau
This research aims to determine Avicennia alba litter production, analyze the density level of A. alba mangroves, and analyze the relationship between A. alba mangrove density and A. alba litter production in rehabilitated mangrove forests in Kedabu Rapat Village, Kepulauan Meranti Regency, Riau Province. Determination of research stations used a purposive sampling method based on the mangrove planting year, where Station 1 was planted in 2017, Station 2 was planted in 2018, and Station 3 was planted in 2019. Mangrove leaf litter was collected using a litter trap measuring 1 x 1 m2 with regular collection times every 2 weeks for 56 days. Environmental parameter data collection is carried out directly in the field at each research station. Measuring mangrove density using 10 x 10 m2 plots, 3 plots per station. The research results showed that the mangrove density level at Station 1 was 8,033±1,210 ind/Ha, Station 2 was 7,900±624 ind/Ha, and Station 3 was 7,800±361 ind/Ha. The density level at 3 stations includes very dense criteria. Litter production in the mangrove rehabilitation area of Kedabu Rapat Village, Kepulauan Meranti Regency, Riau Province is 2.73 - 4.87 tons/Ha/year. The largest production came from mangroves in the 2017 planting year with the largest component coming from the leaves of mangrove plants, namely 81-89%, followed by twig litter at 9-17%, and flowers/fruits at 2-3%. Furthermore, the relationship between mangrove density and litter production after being tested using the Regression Test obtained a value of r = 0,740 so it was classified as having a strong relationship.
