Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Literasi Numerasi Siswa Kelas VIII9 Smp Negeri 20 Pekanbaru
This research was motivated by the low numeracy literacy skills of students in class 〖VIII〗_9 SMPN 20 Pekanbaru. The type of research used is classroom action research which aims to improve the quality of learning process and increase student’s numeracy literacy skills through the application of the Problem Based Learning model. The subjects of this study were students of class 〖VIII〗_9 SMPN 20 Pekanbaru even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year totaling 38 students consisting of 17 boys and 21 girls. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages in the form of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research instrument consisted of learning devices and data collection instruments. Learning tools consisting of syllabus, Lesson Plan, and Student Worksheet. The data collection instruments consisted of observation sheets and student numeracy literacy test sheets. Data from the observation and data from the numeracy literacy test were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The results of the numeracy literacy test analysis showed that the average score of students' numeracy literacy skills in 1st cycle was 77,16, increasing to 88,97 in 2nd cycle. The results showed that the PBL model can improve the learning process and improve the numeracy literacy skills of students in class 〖VIII〗_9 SMP Negeri 20 Pekanbaru even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year.
