Komposisi Hasil Tangkapan Rawai (Mini Long Line) Yang Dioperasikan Saat Siang Dan Malam Di Kelurahan Teluk Meranti Kecamatan Teluk Meranti Kabupaten Pelalawan
The distribution of fish in the waters of the Kampar River, Teluk Meranti Village is influenced by environmental factors where environmental conditions change from time to time such as differences in temperature, depth, and water brightness during the day and night which have an impact on fish catches. Rawai (mini long line) is a fishing gear that is easy to operate by fishermen and includes environmentally friendly fishing gear. The research method used is a survey method in which researchers make direct observations of the object of research. This study aims to determine the difference in the composition of rawai catches operated day and night in the Kampar River, Teluk Meranti Village. The data analysis used is Chi Square test. This composition analysis includes the diversity of species, the number of catches, and the weight of fish that are successfully obtained. There were three types of fish caught during the study, namely catfish (Pangasius sp.), dobuk fish (Pangasius Larnaudii) and baung fish (mystus nemurus). The results showed that the catch at night was more than the catch during the day. This is because the fish that are the target of capture are fish that are active at night (nocturnal). The catch of longline can be seen at night amounted to 39 heads with a total weight of 64.5 kg. While the catch during the day amounted to 22 tails weighing 38.7 kg during the eight days of research. The results concluded that there were differences in the composition of fish catches during the day and night.
