Strategi dalam Pengawasan Kualitas (Baku Mutu) Air Limbah Industri di Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau

Continuing to increase the number of industries in Kampar Regency has a positive impact on the community's economy, but can have a negative impact on the environment if the quality of the waste water produced by these industries is not monitored before being discharged into water bodies.
This research uses a type of qualitative descriptive research which is intended to obtain information regarding strategies for monitoring the quality (quality standards) of industrial wastewater carried out by the Kampar Regency Environmental Service (DLH) in a comprehensive and in-depth manner.
In monitoring the quality (quality standards) of industrial wastewater in Kampar Regency, DLH must ensure the effectiveness of environmental monitoring and protection, increase the understanding of human resources in the department so that they can increase compliance from industry to maintain good environmental performance. So this will reduce negative impacts on the environment, increase the sustainability of activities, and increase the trust of the public and interested parties.
The recommended strategy for monitoring the quality (quality standards) of industrial wastewater in Kampar Regency, Riau Province, is that DLH must propose a new policy that explains in detail the process for monitoring the quality (quality standards) of industrial wastewater; DLH must create a training program to improve human resources regarding PPC, KAN test lab scope and 17025 for environmental laboratories and DLH must revise the current supervision implementation procedures by adding certain points.
The conclusion that can be drawn from this research is that the quality monitoring activities (quality standards) of industrial waste water carried out by DLH Kampar Regency still need to be improved. The current policy, namely the Kampar Regional Regulation 13/2020, still lacks detailed explanation regarding quality control (quality standards) for industrial wastewater. Increasing human resource capacity in DLH Kampar Regency still needs to be improved.
The advice that the author can give in this research is that the scope would be better at the provincial level, not at the district level, and this research should also involve other agencies such as the National Standardization Agency.
