Status Ekologis Lingkungan Perairan Sungai Siak Kota Pekanbaru Dengan Bioindikator Makrozoobenthos Menggunakan Metode Kurva ABC

The Siak River has been polluted due to anthropogenic activity around the waters of the river. It can impact the decline in water quality and disturb macrozoobenthos along with the whole ecosystem. This research aimed to determine ecological status using macrozoobenthos as a bioindicator in the Siak River, Pekanbaru City, with an ABC curve. This research was conducted in July–August 2023 at 4 stations. The macrozoobenthos results found in this study were grouped into 10 types from 5 classes (Gastropod, Bivalvia, Clitellata, Polychaeta, and Malacostraca). The abundance of macrozoobenthos ranged from 368,73–600 ind/m2 and biomass of macrozoobenthos ranged from 2.203-9.360 gram/m2. The diversity index ranged from 1,03–1,60, the uniformity index ranged from 0,76–0,85, and the dominance index ranged from 0,26–0,41. Based on data analysis in the macrozoobenthos ABC curve aspect, it was found that the ecological status of the Siak River waters was categorized as moderately to heavily polluted.
