Hubungan Antara Obesitas Dengan Angka Kejadian Preeklampsia Pada Ibu Hamil Di RSUD Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau Tahun 2019-2022
Preeclampsia is a medical condition that occurs during pregnancy and is characterized by elevated blood pressure, with systolic > 140 mmHg or diastolic > 90 mmHg, along with proteinuria and organ damage. This condition can lead to various serious complications, including organ dysfunction, restricted fetal growth, and, in severe cases, poses a threat to the lives of both the mother and the baby. Preeclampsia typically manifests after the 20th week of pregnancy, and it is crucial to promptly detect and manage it to reduce the risk of complications. The objective of this study is to determine the relationship between obesity and the incidence of preeclampsia during pregnancy at Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital in the Riau province from 2019 to 2022. This research employs an analytical approach with a retrospective cohort design, utilizing data obtained from medical records through total sampling methods. The study results indicate that there is no significant association between patients with preeclampsia and obesity. The p-value
> 0.05 suggests the absence of a significant correlation between obesity and the incidence of preeclampsia at Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital during the period from 2019 to 2022.
