Peran Guru Dalam Pembentukan Karakter Disiplin Siswa Di SMA Negeri 5 Pinggir
This research is motivated by the importance of character building for teenage students, especially at the high school level, one of which is discipline. Discipline is an individual's conscious obedience to obey the rules that exist automatically and make this a habit in behavior. The term discipline means self-control and supervision, obedience to leadership, and being able to adapt to existing rules at school. The problem formulation of this research is the role of teachers in forming the disciplined character of students at SMA Negeri 5 Pinggir. The aim of this research is to find out what kind of role teachers use in forming the disciplined character of students at SMA Negeri 5 Pinggir. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, interviews and documentation. The informants in this study consisted of 13 (thirteen) people, namely teachers (6 people) and students (7 people). The data analysis technique in this research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The findings in this research explain that the role of teachers is not only to teach but they also act as educators, as educators, as advisors, as motivators, as mentors and as evaluators which will later be able to produce students who are characterized by neatness discipline, craft discipline, environmental cleanliness discipline, discipline. in managing study time and discipline in behavior. This is based on the existence of supporting factors in shaping the disciplined character of students at SMA Negeri 5 Pinggir, namely the existence of school activities and programs, the cooperative relationship between parents and the school in student development. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors in forming the disciplined character of students at SMA Negeri 5 Pinggir are the limitations of teachers in supervising students' interactions with friends outside of school, the use of technology that is not well understood and there is still a lack of participation from some students' parents in monitoring and complying with regulations. He studied at SMAN 5 Pinggir.
