Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Berbasis Peta Konsep (Mind Mapping) Untuk Pembelajaran Teks Deskripsi Sekolah Menegah Pertama
This research aims to develop teaching materials based on mind mapping for teaching descriptive texts in junior high schools. Innovation in teaching materials is really needed to make it easier for teachers and students in the learning process so that learning objectives can be achieved well. This research is research and development (R&D) proposed by Sukmadinata. Consists of Analysis (analysis), Design (design), and Development (development). This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 6 Pekanbaru with the research sample being students of class VII 1 SMPN 6 Pekanbaru. This research began with the curriculum analysis stage obtained by interviews, then an analysis of student needs obtained by distributing questionnaires with a percentage result of 59.6% in the moderate need category. This research involved experts in learning media, language and Indonesian language materials to assess teaching materials from 3 aspects. Based on the validation results, media experts obtained a percentage result of 88%, language experts obtained a percentage result of 93%, and material experts obtained a percentage result of 93%. So the teaching material was declared very valid for use because it obtained an average result of 91% and could be carried out on a small scale trial.
