Uji Kemampuan Bacillus spp. dalam Menghambat Ganoderma sp. Penyebab Penyakit Busuk Pangkal Batang Kelapa Sawit secara in Vitro
Basal stem rot (BSR) is a disease that causes decline in oil palm productivity. BSR caused by Ganoderma sp. An alternative environmentally control that can be done is biological control. Bacillus spp. is one alternative way of biological control. This study aims to test the inhibitory ability of Bacillus spp. and get the species of Bacillus spp. that can inhibit Ganoderma sp. and determine the ability of Bacillus spp. in affecting the morphology of Ganoderma sp. causing BSR of oil palm in vitro. The research was conducted experimentally and consisting of 7 treatments. The treatment was to test the ability of Bacillus spp. in inhibiting Ganoderma sp. The treatments were: without Bacillus spp, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, Bacillus cereus, Bacillus pseudomycoides, Bacillus velezensis 1, Bacillus velezensis 2, Bacillus velezensis 3. Obtained data were analyzed statistically with variance analysis using SPSS version 25. The results were followed by duncan's new multiple range test (DNMRT) at the 5% level. The results showed that Bacillus spp. namely B. amyloliquefaciens, B. cereus, B. pseudomycoides, B. velezensis 1, B. velezensis 2 and B. velezensis 3 were able to inhibit Ganoderma sp. but 3 Bacillus spp. namely B. cereus, B. pseudomycoides and B. amyloliquefaciens were not able to produce inhibition zone. Bacillus velezensis 2 was better to inhibit Ganoderma sp. with 78,05% inhibition, 58,8% inhibition zone, 92,49% filtrate inhibition. Bacillus spp. can affect the macroscopic and microscopic characteristics of Ganoderma sp. and caused Ganoderma sp. unable to produce conidia.
