Kebiasaan Makan Dan Kandungan Mikroplastik Pada Lambung Ikan Caru (Megalaspis Cordyla) Di Perairan Laut Kota Dumai Provinsi Riau

Caru fish (M.cordyla) is a small pelagic fish that is classified as a carnivorous fish because the main food of this fish consists of animal origin. Fish stomach content is important data for directly studying the ecology of fish feeding, fundamental information that is important for understanding the functional role of fish communities in aquatic ecosystems and is useful for understanding interspecific interactions of resource sharing between species. Regarding feeding habits, carnivorous fish tend to eat their prey whole, making carnivorous fish vulnerable to being eaten by things that are not their natural food, such as plastic waste. This happens because during the foraging process, microplastics can be ingested and enter the bodies of biota, either intentionally or unintentionally. Community (anthropogenic) activities around Dumai waters produce pollutants, including organic and inorganic waste.
This study aims to analyze the eating habits and identify the type and abundance of microplastics found in the stomach, as well as analyze the relationship between fish size and the abundance of microplastics in their stomachs. This study was carried out for 2 months, fish samples were taken at the Dumai City Fish Landing Base (PPI). Analysis of fish stomach contents was carried out at the Aquatic Biology Laboratory, while analysis of microplastic content was carried out at the Marine Chemistry Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs, Riau University. The method used in this research is a survey method, sampling was carried out at PPI Dumai. Fish samples were obtained by buying them from fishermen when they were still fresh, then taken to the laboratory, then the samples were analyzed for the type of food and microplastic content and discussed descriptively based on literature related to the research. For eating habits, the parameters measured include gravimetric analysis, volumetric analysis, frequency of occurrence and index of preponderance. Meanwhile, for microplastic content, the parameters measured included microplastic abundance, microplastic type, microplastic color and the relationship between caru fish length and microplastic abundance. The results obtained from this study show that the composition of the stomach contents of caru fish in all size classes can be seen that the main food is the senangin fish (E. tetradactylum). Complementary foods are detritus, cockles (A. granosa) and white shrimp (P. menaguiensis). Based on the size of the fish, it is known that the abundance of microplastics from the 3 lengths of fish observed shows that the 22.1-24 cm class has a higher average abundance of microplastics, namely 57 particles/ind. Fiber type microplastics were most commonly found in the 22.1-24 cm size class with an average value of 36 particles/individual. The dominant color most often found is black with an average value of 36,3

particles/individual in the 20.1-22 cm size class. The results of the regression test for the length of the caru fish and the abundance of microplastics showed that there was no influence of the length of the caru fish on the amount of microplastics.
