Status Pemanfaatan Ikan Kembung Lelaki (Rastrelliger Kanagurta) Di Perairan Selat Malaka Yang Didaratkan Di Tanjung Balai Kota Kabupaten Karimun Kepulauan Riau
Indian mackerel is one type of marine fish that can be found in coastal and offshore waters, the fish is utilized as a consumption commodity for the local community. The purpose of this study was to determine the utilization status of indian mackerel in the Malacca Strait Waters landed in Tanjung Balai Karimun. This research was conducted from September to November 2023, conducted every two weeks with an interval of three months. This study used observation and interview methods while the landing point was the fishermen's fishing area. Observations were made in three places using purse seine gear with a length of 300 m, a width of 40 m and a meshzise of 3-4 inches. The data collected were primary data in the form of measurements of total length, weight, and growth patterns of indian mackerel. Data analysis used statistical software, fisat II and Length-Based Spawning Potential Ratio (LB-SPR) modeling. Indian mackerel caught during the study amounted to 242 fish, consisting of 94 males and 148 females. The measurement results showed the total length of mackerel ranged from 160 - 240 mm, with the number of interval classes 9 and class width 8. The results of the analysis of the relationship between length and weight of male and female mackerel, obtained a value of b = 1.319 or negative allometric, where the growth rate of fish length is faster than the growth of fish weight. The value of the mackerel condition factor obtained as a whole is 0.80 - 1.27. The status of mackerel utilization in 2023 is 30%, which means it is in the Full-moderate category, where the level of mackerel utilization is at a moderate level.
