Daun Dalam Peribahasa Melayu Kajian Semantik Kognitif
This research aims to determine the meaning and form of the image scheme in the proverb "leaf". The method used in this research is listening and taking notes. This research uses cognitive semantic analysis with the help of image schemas. The data analysis technique in this research uses qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this research are that there are 28 data on leaf proverbs, consisting of 20 data on Malaysian Malay proverbs and 8 data on Indonesian Malay proverbs. The researcher focuses on the data to be studied by presenting proverbs that use the word leaf. This is then followed by interpreting the proverb and determining the source and target domains. Finally, the data is presented based on the image scheme contained in the leaf proverb. The results of this research, there are seven image schemes in the leaf proverb, namely the hierarchical image scheme, three data are found, in the force image scheme there are four data, in the container image scheme four data are found, in the connecting image scheme ( link) found five data, in the part-whole image scheme there were five data, in the linear rule image scheme (source-path-goal) there were two data, in the action image scheme five data were found. Of the seven image schemes presented, leaf proverbs mostly use link image schemes, part-whole image schemes, and action image schemes with five data points each.
