Jenis Dan Kepadatan Sampah Laut (Marine Debris) Di Wilayah Pesisir Kecamatan Ulakan Tapakis Kabupaten Padang Pariaman Sumatera Barat

Marine debris is waste material or left by humans around the coast of carried by
river flow and physical dynamics if the sea such as tides, waves and currents.
Various kinds of problems arise due to the presence of marine debris such as
reducing the beauty of coastal areas, causing various kinds of diseases, effecting
the reduced productivity of fish resources and can effect the balance of
ecosystems in coastal areas. The types of waste obtained during this study ware
plastic, glass, cloth, wood, rubber and other categories of waste. The total amount
of marine debris found was 1.931 units of aste with a total weight of 182,96 kg.
The results of this study show that there is not significant difference in the type
and abundance of marine debris at each research location. The purpose of this
study was to determine the differences in the type and abdundance of marine
debris waste at each station using the survey method. This research was
conducted from August to September 2023 located in the coastal area of Ulakan
Tapakis District, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatera.
