Analisis Nilai Tukar Nelayan Menggunakan Alat Tangkap Jaring Insang Dasar (Bottom Gillnet) Di Desa Pambang Pesisir Kecamatan Bantan Kabupaten Bengkalis Provinsi Riau

This research was carried out from October to November 2023 at Pambang Pesisir
Village, Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province by analyzing how much
income and profits earned by fishermen from the production of caught fish and the
exchange rate of fishermen using bottom gillnet fishing gear. in Pambang Pesisir Village,
Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The method used in this research is a
quantitative survey method. The selection of respondents was carried out by census with
a total of 41 people. The research results show that the income received by fishermen is
IDR105.564.878,05/year and the profits obtained from fishing business activities are
IDR36.716.650,41/year. The fishing fleet used in fishing activities has an engine with a
power of 33 PK and a fleet volume of 5 GT. 00 and the load of people on the ship
consists of 3 people, 1 as captain and 2 as crew members and the fishermen's job after
going to sea is to go to the garden to work to fill free time and the Fisherman's Exchange
Value (NTN) obtained is 2, meaning the income earned by fishermen in Pambang Pesisir
can cover the subsistence needs (basic needs) of fishermen's families and can also cover
the costs of fishing businesses using net fishing equipment. Furthermore, for the
Fishermen's Exchange Value Index (INTN) of 174%, it can be said that fishermen's
families have welfare that is good enough to meet their living needs and also have the
potential for surplus income.
