Analisis kelayakan usaha ternak penggemukan sapi potong di kecamatan dayun kabupaten siak
The development of the livestock sector is one of the efforts to fulfill the animal protein needs of the community. Siak Regency is one of the areas located in Riau Province which is known to have fertile and extensive agricultural land and has a diversity of natural resources. Dayun Sub-district is one of the sub-districts with the highest cattle population in Siak District. People in Dayun Subdistrict make cattle fattening as a business to improve the family economy. But establishing a cattle fattening business requires significant capital investment for the purchase of cattle breeds, construction of cages, procurement of equipment, feed, and other costs. Cost and income analysis needs to be done to ensure that farmers do not experience losses. The research method used in this study is a survey with a census sampling technique of all cattle farmers who do cattle fattening business by conducting interviews assisted by questionnaires and making observations to farmers totaling 32 people. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the value of the Return cost ratio (R / C) obtained from the cattle farming business in Dayun District in one harvest is 1.43 for an average fattening scale of 7 cows and 1.33 for a scale of 1 cow. This means that each cost expenditure of Rp. 1.00 will generate income of Rp. 1.43 and 1.33, which means that the cattle farming business is efficient and feasible to continue.
