Health-related fitness has 4 basic components including cardiopulmonary endurance, muscle strength and endurance, flexibility and body composition. Cardiopulmonary fitness is defined as the maximum capacity to inhale, distribute and use oxygen or commonly called maximal oxygen use or abbreviated as VO2Max. The higher the VO2Max, the higher the endurance during exercise, which means that someone who has a high VO2Max will not feel tired quickly after doing a series of activities (Yudianti, 2016). In addition, if the VO2Max level is less than 50% of the body working aerobically, then fat is the main source of energy.
Football is a simple game, and the secret to a good football game is to do simple things as well as possible. This game is almost entirely played using the feet, except for the goalkeeper who is allowed to use his hands in the penalty kick area. In the development of this game can be played outside (outdoor) or inside (indoor).
Football has periodic activities with special characteristics regarding the physical fitness of athletes/players. This sport involves actions carried out with high intensity, such as sprinting and jumping, as well as low intensity actions, such as walking and running. Players are required to be able to demonstrate the quality of their techniques and physical abilities during 90 minutes of normal time. To help athletes/players achieve their best performance in order to be able to play in 90 minutes of normal time with high intensity. This proves that every athlete must have a good maximum endurance capacity or VO2Max during the match.
