Konflik Sosial Dalam Pelaksanaan Tradisi Alek Balerong Di Jorong Banjaranah Kenagarian Pangkalan Koto Baru Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota

This research was carried out in Jorong Banjaranah Kenagarian Pangkalan Koto Baru, Base koto Baru District, Lima puluh Kota Regency with the aim of finding out the causes of conflict, forms of conflict, and efforts to resolve conflicts that occur in the implementation of the alek balerong tradition in Jorong Banjaranah Kenagarian Pangkalan Koto Baru, Lima puluh Kota Regency.The research method used is a qualitative method, which uses research techniques such as in-depth interviews and documentation in collecting data. The results of this research stated that the cause of the conflict was because of the youth's feelings of disappointment towards the Niniak Mamak Katas for the election of the Alek Balerong executive committee, which resulted in the youth's social jealousy towards the executive committee. The form of conflict that occurs is realistic conflict as stated by Lewis A Coser, namely a feeling of disappointment in the social relations that occur. And resolution efforts have been made but have not gone smoothly, resulting in the parties in conflict, namely youth, not contributing their energy, thoughts and materials in implementing the alek balerong tradition.
