Pertumbuhan Dan Hematologi Ikan Gurami (Osphronemus Gouramy) Yang Diberi Pakan Diperkaya Tepung Daun Kelor Dan Dipelihara Pada Media Bersalinitas
JERNIHTAYANTI, NIM. 2010241819, Growth and Hematology of Osphronemus gouramy that Fed with Moringa oleifera Enriched Pellets and Reared in Saline Media, supervised by Dr. Dra. Windarti, M.Sc dan Prof. Dr. Saberina Hasibuan, S.Pi, M.T.
Osphronemus gouramy is freshwater fish, but it can be reared under saline media. Difference in salinity might trigger stress in that fish and thus reduce the health of the fish in general. To understand the growth and health of fish that was fed with M. oleifera enriched pellets, a study has been conducted in April to December 2023. This research was divided into 2 stages, namely the maintenance stage for 60 days and the Aeromonas hydrophila infection stage from days 61-75. There was CRD applied, with 5 treatments, namely CN (Control Negatif, no Moringa and no infection), CP (Control Postif, no Moringa and infected with Aeromonas hydrophyla), T1, T2 and T3 (20 g, 30 g and 40 g of Moringa powder in 1 kg feed respectively. The fishes were reared in 100L container, 20 fishes/ container and feed at libitum 3 times/day for 60 days period. In the 61th day, the fish was injected with A. hydrophyla (0.1 ml/fish with of bacterial density 108 CFU/mL), intramuscular. The growth, survival, clinical signs and health condition were studied in the 60th and 75th day.
Results shown that provision of Moringa improved the growth and immunity of the fish as represent in their hematology. The best result was found in T3, with 4.73 cm and 10.70 g length and weight increment, 1.41% specific growth rate, 2.17 FCR and 46.83 FE. In the 60th day all of fish survival was almost 100%. After being infected however, the survival rate was 83.33% in CN, 18.33% in CP, 43.33% in T1, 50% in T2 and 65% in T3. While the fish treated with Moringa shown that that their hematological condition almost normal, even after being infected with A. hydrophyla, they were 3.06 x106 cells/mm3 of total erythrocyte, 9.5 g/dl hemoglobin content, 35.3% hematocrit level, 13.55x104 cells/mm3 of total leucocyte, 2.67% leucocryte level, 51.43 mg/dL of blood glucose. The highest phagocyte level was 25.14% in T3 and 15.1%, 9.15%, 24.03%, 24.65% in CN, CP, T1 and T2 respectively. Based on data obtained, it can be concluded that feeding O. gouramy with Moringa leaves powder enriched pellets improved the fish health in general as well as maintained the hematological condition and the best result was obtained in T3 (40 g moringa powder/ 1 kg fish feed pellets).
