Disaster Preparedness Village is one of the government programs in community-based disaster management efforts that aims to increase community capacity by utilizing the potential and resources available in the community in facing disaster threats. The purpose of the study was to determine the level of community participation and factors influencing community participation in the Disaster Preparedness Village program using the participation theory approach proposed by Conyers. This type of research based on its analysis uses survey method as a method in collecting data through questionnaires. The population is all people who live in disaster-prone areas, namely RW 01, RW 02, RW 10, RW 12, and RW 13 with a total of 890 households. The sample size was set at 90 respondents using the Slovin formula and the sample was selected using proportional sampling technique. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques through data processing stages including editing, coding, tabulation and calculation of minimum and mean values presented in single and contingency tables. The results showed that the level of community participation based on the stages of the disaster event as a whole, namely before, during and after disaster, was at moderate participation. Community participation based on its dominant value is physical participation with a total score of 3,432, while the non-dominant is non-physical participation.
