Status Kualitas Perairan Di Kawasan Pelabuhan Tanjung Buton Berdasarkan Indeks Kualitas Air Laut (Ikal)
Tanjung Buton Port is one of the coastal areas in Riau Province which is used as a center for the development of economic activities and ports on a national scale. The main purpose of the construction of Tanjung Buton Port is another alternative port for loading and unloading containers besides Dumai Port. The main activity at Tanjung Buton Port is as a sea transportation route for commodity goods from plantations, agriculture, fisheries to be sent to surrounding islands, passenger transportation, and loading and unloading activities, especially vehicles. Various activities both in the port waters and around the port will certainly cause the entry of polluting materials into the waters. This study aims to determine the status of water quality in the Tanjung Buton Port area based on the Seawater Quality Index. This research was conducted from October to November 2023 at Tanjung Buton Harbor. The research method used was the survey method. Water sampling was carried out three times with an interval of one month. Determination of water quality status using the Sea Water Quality Index (IKAL) method. The parameters used to determine the quality status are temperature, pH, salinity, DO, TSS, ortho phosphate, total ammonia, and fatty oil. Water quality analysis was compared with port seawater quality standards (PP No.22 of 2021). The results showed that some parameters did not meet the port seawater quality standards, namely total ammonia from 0.4 - 0.5 mg/L and Orthophosphate 0.07 mg/L. The average IKAL value at Tanjung Buton Harbor range from 50.01-55.38 with a moderate pollution category at all observation stations.
