DAMPAK OBYEK WISATA SKYWALK TENGKU BUWANG ASMARA BAGI MASYARAKAT KAMPUNG TENGAH KECAMATAN MEMPURA KABUPATEN SIAK
This research aims to determine the impact of developing the Tengku Buwang Asmara
Skywalk tourist attraction on social, economic, environmental and basic infrastructure aspects
in Kampung Tengah Village, Mempura District, Siak Regency. The population was 164
families, with a sample size of 62 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. Meanwhile,
the sampling technique is the proportional sample technique. Data collection techniques use
structured interviews with questionnaire instruments, observation and documentation. Data
analysis uses the class interval formula and arithmetic average (central tendency). The results
of research referring to Cohen's theory show that the dominant positive impact is seen in social,
economic and basic infrastructure aspects. The social aspect of the community actively
interacts between the community and tourists so that there is an exchange of information and
an open attitude towards newcomers. Economic aspect, people's income increases with the
opening of new business opportunities and jobs. Aspects of basic infrastructure include
additions to public facilities such as street lights installed on village roads. Meanwhile,
negative environmental impacts tend not to be dominant but cause damage to communityowned
plants and riverside plants. Even though the environmental impact is negative, the
community and management try to maintain the environment around the tourist attraction.
