EVALUASI PENERAPAN KONSEP INTERNET OF THINGS (IoT) PADA ALAT MONITORING PENYIRAMAN TANAMAN CABAI MERAH MENGGUNAKAN KOMUNIKASI WIFI 802.11b/g/n
Internet of Things (IoT) is a technology that can connect objects around us with
the internet, so that they can communicate with each other and exchange
information. IoT is widely applied in various fields of human life. One example of
the application of IoT is in the agricultural sector in the cultivation of red chili
plants using the IoT concept to carry out automatic watering and practical
monitoring. Watering is done automatically based on the soil moisture conditions
of the plant. Monitoring can be done practically via the LCD on the device
(offline), the blynk dashboard on the laptop (online) and the blynk application on
the smartphone (online). Data transmission in the monitoring process uses the
802.11b/g/n WiFi communication standard with SSID and Password to connect to
the network. WiFi communication uses a WiFi router (wireless router) as a data
communication controller. Data communication occurs via internet connection
access in the monitoring network. This data communication connects data from
each sensor and watering status with monitoring devices. The results of research
on monitoring testing show that the performance of the monitoring tool can
function well, namely that it can obtain valid data (100%) in real time, monitoring
data can be stored on the blynk server (blynk cloud) and the results of network
connection quality (QoS) testing are in the category "good" by obtaining an
average QoS index value of 86.61%.
